We stayed one night at the Kontiki, not bad, very modern rooms, rather expensive restaurant requiring reservations, won't leave a lasting impression as it's too conventional and impersonal. Positive point: very central location.
Alternatively, we went to the Royal Tahitian, which was much more authentic, with a beautiful wooded area bordering a small beach, and a good, hearty restaurant. The rooms were very comfortable. The only downside was its location outside the city center.
Alternatively, we also went to the Fare Suisse, comfortable rooms, friendly place, possibility to have dinner and relatively central.
