To try it is to adopt it !
They say things never happen by chance, and once again I was able to verify this. Coming out of an afternoon spent with a cousin hospitalized at the nearby Taaone Hospital, I felt like stopping. have my meal to the caravans which set up in the evening in the parking lot of the Aorai Tini Hau Park in Pirae. For me it was a first. In this parking lot which becomes at sunset a real open-air restaurant, I wandered around looking for a table to sit down at. In this atmosphere still humid despite the hour, the smells mixed together et intoxicated me. It's difficult to choose between the ten or so roulottes in which the “chefs” were busy at the stoves. Finally, and don’t ask me why, I set my sights on a table at “Chez Jaco”. I now returns regularly and I'm going to tell you why.
“Chez Jaco” is first and foremost 27 years of experience at the service of your taste buds! In fact, this caravan offers visitors a authentic dining experience. Jaco, with his expertise and his love for the ocean products, has been able to create a menu that highlights the local ingredients and the ttraditional cooking techniques. Like the greatest starred chefs in mainland France, Jaco even invented his own own recipes. Thus, the great classics like the tartares and carpaccio are all cooked in an original way. Eating at Jaco's is therefore synonymous with discoveries. Dishes that we thought we knew well actually become real good surprises after having been reviewed and corrected by this bloodhound of local cuisine. For example, its sashimi sauce is a gem!

Do you know of another place in Tahiti where you can eat so late?x
The only ones exceptions to this rule are obviously the rainy daysWe eat outdoors at Jaco's and when "the sea and the fish fall" as they say in Marseille, the moment is immediately much less pleasant.
Takeout service
Like any self-respecting caravan, it is possible to carry out a order “At Jaco’s” and come and pick it up to eat wherever you want. All you have to do is call 87 78 07 34 and the deal, or rather the ma'a (meal) is in the bag 😉
The Boss Jaco
Ultimately
Since I discovered the “Chez Jaco” caravan, I have not hesitated to travel the 32 kilometers round trip that separates me from Pirae to come and taste the specialty which made him famous: lhot and cold tuna. The thin strips of tuna French thousand spices embellished with fresh vegetables from the market barely cooked byboiling oil, I call that a culinary massacre ! Of course, you can also opt for another dish, the carte being sufficiently rich to satisfy the Palace the most difficult. With its added warm environment and top-notch service, “Chez Jaco” is a address to remember for all lovers of polynesian cuisine. So don't miss the opportunity to visit this friendly caravan and discover the authentic flavors of French Polynesia. And if you are one of those lucky enough to have a meal there, Please leave a little comment at the bottom of this article to share your experience with us 😉
