La permanent exhibition hall houses a vast collection ofethnographic objects, mainly from French Polynesia and other regions of Oceania. It is designed to offer a immersive experience et educational, allowing visitors to better understand Polynesian heritage. Among the exhibits are: ancient artifacts, contemporary works of art, movable objects and natural collectionsThe museum also has a herbarium of French Polynesia, whose database is accessible online. Personally, I particularly appreciated the large wooden tikisold canoes, and all paintings et screens which explain in detail the origins of the settlement of Polynesia and the important dates who have marked its history. We also learn what it was like organized society before the arrival of Europeans.
Finally I remained glued in front of the models et screens
