departure
To take full advantage of all websites that we are going to discover, the departure is set at 7 o'clock. I'll come pick you up. at your place of residence. It is advisable to come with beach serviettes, swimwear, and spare parts because some greatly encourage the bathing. A tropical downpour not being never to be excluded, also remember to bring a waterproof garment. It's better than a umbrella when he does ventOur group will consist of a maximum of 9 people including your servant. Tamanu Shopping Center in Punaauia
And most importantly, don't worry. We're not going on a big shopping spree, but we still need to think about buying food. The Tamanu shopping center in Punaauia will allow us to find what we need for breakfast and lunch, if you prefer snacks to the restaurant at Maui Beach.
Vaiava beach, known as PK 18
And since we now have everything we need for breakfast , how about we go settle the score with him on Tahiti's largest white sand beach , Vaiava Beach , also known as PK 18 Beach? It will only take us five minutes to get there. The Mara'a Caves
This site, renowned on the west coast, will be our next destination. We will visit the three caves , moving from one to the next along a gravel path , surrounded by lush greenery , the intoxicating scent of tropical flowers , and soothed by the gentle murmur of flowing water . A refreshing break guaranteed!
Papara Market
Much less crowded than its big brother in Papeete, the Papara market is nonetheless a strategic place to do some shopping . Tikis , woven hats and baskets , jewelry of all kinds—you're sure to find the perfect original gift to bring back to mainland France. With the smiles and typically Polynesian welcome of its vendors, this vibrant market, filled with the enchanting scent of tiare flowers, is sure to charm you.
Papara Surf Spot
Well-known to surfers , this spot located in the commune of Papara is also remarkable for its black sand beach lined with coconut palms . We'll enjoy the place while admiring some young specialists , true aquatic acrobats , taming a few waves and swells.
Vaima's source
The Vaima spring in Papeari is a freshwater resurgence that gushes forth at the foot of the mountain, forming a small, refreshingly cool natural pool . Long used by locals to refresh themselves or fill jerrycans, it remains today a simple and authentic spot , surrounded by greenery, that tells the story of everyday Tahiti and the intimate relationship Polynesians have with their water sources. It's also the perfect place to recharge, often overlooked by tourist guides and visitors alike , but not by yours truly.
The water gardens of Vaipahi
The Vaipahi Water Gardens are a little slice of paradise where nature has truly outdone itself. Between sacred pools, refreshing waterfalls, giant ferns, and shaded paths, the place resembles a movie set … but without the special effects. You walk in peace and quiet, breathe easier , and feel as if time slows down just for you.
It's one of the few places in Tahiti where you can go from a jungle atmosphere to a zen-like ambiance in three steps, encounter an eel that seems to judge you, and hear the forest tell its stories. Whether you come to stroll , meditate , take photos , or simply escape the heat , Vaipahi gently welcomes you and sends you away with a smile.

The Taravao Plateau
And it is at 550 meters above sea level, on the heights of Taravao plateau, that we will make our midday meal break, If, of course, you have chosen this option. Distant from a twenty kilometers, we will then join the northern part of the peninsula, Tautira and its black sand beach. The blower hole
After getting back in the car and driving about 500 meters , we arrived at the famous blowhole . Here, ocean waves , channeled through a narrow passage in the rocks, create a powerful blast that delights and surprises visitors from all over the world who come to witness this impressive natural phenomenon.
Venus Point
To conclude our journey, we 'll reach Pointe Vénus in 15 minutes, our final stop . Besides being the northernmost point of Tahiti, it's undoubtedly the most beautiful spot on the island . Rich in history, your attention will immediately be captured by the oldest lighthouse in the South Pacific . A trip in a comfortable van and a guide who takes great care of us.
It's Thierry or Titi, our guide and he is truly perfect! Many explanations about the sites, the flora, the traditions and lots of anecdotes. And at the end of the tour, the small glass of wine on the beach of the point of Venus while watching the sunset on Moorea, that is a pleasure that we will not forget. We toured the island on August 19th with Thierry before leaving Polynesia after 7 weeks of visiting four archipelagos. This tour was enchanting, thanks to the knowledge of the country and the kindness of our guide. Luck was with us that day, because there were two of us, the car was super comfortable and it didn't rain! The visits followed one after the other, ending with a glass of wine at Pointe Vénus, a great day!
